We enter into a partnership with the Hartford Public Library starting with the Park Street@The Lyric Branch in the Frog Hollow neighborhood. The project follows the major renovation at the branch which includes the design and planting of the gardens in the Fromson Courtyard. Mem Morrisey, in consultation with library staff, designs the garden beds and club members with help from neighborhood children and adults plant perennials and later spring bulbs in the raised beds. We donate money for curricular materials and books about pollinators for the children’s library and with help from the children plant and teach them about Herbs and Vegetables used in Latino cooking.
